Excellent quality for a climbing movie, a small masterpiece. Need to see this. This movie gets a 10- out of 10 from me.

During the summer of 1936, two Bavarian Mountain Jäger -soldiers, Gebirgsjäger, decide to attempt the ascent up the north face of the Eiger.

(Gebirgsjäger were also helping out with the enemy in Finland during WW II. They were a division of SS-Kampfgruppe “Nord” , the division was composed of Mountain Jäger SS men transferred to Finnish Lapland prior to Operation Barbarossa.)
